7 Ways to Open Control Panel In Windows 10

Windows 10 has various new features and pretty much advanced as compared to the older versions of the Windows operating system such as Win 7, Vista, and Windows XP.

In this post too, we will be discussing several ways to open the Control Panel in Windows 10. You can use any of these ways, all serve the same purpose.


Method:1– Access Windows 10 Control Panel from “All settings

One of the easy methods to access the Windows 10 Control Panel quickly is from “All settings”. It’s just a two-step process and you will be able to open Control Panel within seconds. Here is what you need to do:

Step:1– Click on the notification icon from the bottom right corner that can be found adjacent to Date & Time and then select “All settings

Step:2– Type “Control Panel” in the search box and you will see it in search results. Click the control panel to open it. That’s all!

Method:2– Windows 10 Control Panel from “Cortana Search Box”

This is the shortest method to open Control Panel in Windows 10 and my favorite too. It is a single-step process and you will be able to get into Control Panel very next second.

You can instead of typing in the Cortana Search box speak to her as well. Give her the command “Open Control Panel” and she will have it in search results. Click to open it.

For Cortana search box, here is the procedure:

Step:1– Click Win and type “Control Panel” in the Cortana Search box.

Method:3– Open Control Panel with the keyboard shortcut (power menu)

This is the easiest method to open the control panel. Here is what you need to do:

Step:1– Press the Win + X key from the keyboard and Windows 10 power menu will open.

Method:4– Use RUN window to open the control panel

Another easier method to open the Control panel is through RUN Window. The RUN window in all windows versions plays an important role and you can almost open every program or settings if you know the commands. We will use the same here. Take a look:

Step:1– Press Windows + R  and a RUN window will open.

Method:5– Open Control Panel from Start Menu

Windows 10 start menu is so powerful that you can control all the programs and accessories from there itself. We can use the Start Menu for opening Control Panel as well.

Here is the procedure:

Step:1– Click Windows Start Menu and then “All apps

We are used to of right-click and let’s see how can we use this habit to open Control Panel in Windows 10. Here we go:

Step:1Right Click anywhere on the desktop and click “Personalize“. The personalized settings will open.

Step:2– Type “Control Panel” in the “Find a Setting” text box.

Method:7– Pin Control Panel to Taskbar or Start

If you feel it is annoying to follow any of these methods to open Control Panel in Windows 10, you can create a shortcut on your own once and the Control Panel will always be a click away.

You can pin the Control Panel to START or TASKBAR based on your choice. Here is how you can do it.
